I think NAT provides the most realistic 3D shading. To me, other weather mods usually look like paintings or lower-quality animations. Also, many of the weather mods seem incapable of realistically displaying scenery on a bright sunny day. It has some quirks that drive some people crazy, but many of them have work arounds.
